Main Arena
Once you have arrived at OS Mountain Mayhem, we will
have everything you need for a great weekend on site.
Campsite - First thing to do is set up camp.
We have 45 acres of
camping fields, so you'll have ample room for you & your teammates
(please don't be too greedy though!) & a special quiet camping area for
those riding solo or just prefer a more peaceful nights sleep. Camping
is 100% free and the campsite will be open from Thursday 17th
June through to Monday 21st June.
Toilets – throughout the campsites & arena
there will be plenty of toilet blocks, including several blocks with
lighting & proper flushing toilets. The toilet blocks are spread out over
the whole site so you'll never have to dash too far!
Showers –Whether you're covered in dust,
plastered in mud, or soaked in sweat you'll always feel 10 times better
after a good shower. So that's what you can get! At OS Mountain Mayhem we
have enough shower cubicles to cope with the most extreme conditions. All
the showers are properly heated & are individual cubicles - there's no need
to be shy! Each shower cubicle will be regularly stocked with samples of
Original Source shower gels, so you're guaranteed to feel refreshed as well
as sparkly clean. All we would ask is that if you are particularly muddy,
is to wipe off the worst of the mud before going in the showers so they
don't clog up with your clag.

First Aid – inevitably someone's going to
have a crash, this is a mountain bike race after all, a long hard one at
that. So for the whole of the weekend we have a full crew of top class
first aiders on hand to deal with any situation that may arise. If you do
have an 'off' we aim to get you in the best hands to sort you out, as
swiftly & painlessly as possible. Crews from North Staffs Voluntary Aid
will be on site all weekend as well as the legendary Dr Dent for the
duration of the race.
Information stand – Lost? Dazed?
Confused?... Pop over to our information stand & we'll do our best to point
you in the right direction. This is the hub from which you can find out
everything you need to know; details of where all the exhibitors are, when
things are happening, who to speak to in an emergency, lost property & so
on.
Food Stalls – As we all know, riding bikes is
hard & after a hard lap or two you deserve refuelling. At OS Mountain
Mayhem we have a wide range to food stalls selling the right stuff to get
you energised for your next outing or to satisfy that weird middle of the
night craving.
Massage –
Every year riders forget
how important it is to warm up & warm down properly. So to help with this
we have enlisted the help of the brilliant Kirsty McDade & her industrious
band of nimble fingered masseurs. They will be on hand all day & all night
to work out those knots & relieve countless tight calf muscles.

They have a wealth of
experience, skill & knowledge that they have put to good use at many events,
including the London Marathon as well as a number of other mountain bike &
triathlon events. Come
along & see them & feel the benefits of a recovery massage or see if they
can help with any specific issues or injuries. There's no need to book,
simply turn up with clean legs & they will see to you as soon as possible.
These guys work immensely hard for you & wont be charging a fee, just
working for donations, so please dig deep into your pockets if you have a
treatment.
